This hack does a pretty decent job at remaking and redesigning the original game, with improvements along the way stylistically, graphically, and in game design. I seem to have gotten myself into an area in zone 2 (bottom left in a room called Kagos Hive) where I need the gravity suit + grapple to come back the way I entered and a grapple to get out the other side. Navigation was too simplistic for my liking with everything feeling very straight forward. Discussion. I have neither and don’t remember requiring any specific wall jumping or special techniques to get here. Is anyone familiar with this and knows if it’s possible to get stuck?

The graphical changes were very refreshing, the rooms were aesthetically varied and fun to move through without being too simple or too annoying, and the hack had its significant challenge points that gave me the taste of difficulty I was looking for, but without being over the top and inaccessible to newer players.
Its a large hack but not overwhelmingly large. This was a lovely hack. This is a joy to play. I was unlucky/dumb/bad and managed to miss the reward for a couple of early bosses on my first pass, and had to hunt around for a little bit, but I never felt stuck or lost. He deserves 5/5. It keeps the feel of vanilla with unchanged physics and mostly similar tiles, but it freshens it up with new palettes, music, and a whole pile of beautiful looking rooms to explore. This fantastic hack pushes boundaries and remains of excellent quality from start to finish. Flashback Entertainment!
I really enjoyed this one. Particularly enjoyed LN and Tourian. Super Metroid: Ascent. There aren’t any soft locks I’m currently aware up using only Dev-intended mechanics, so if you didn’t do anything fancy to get stuck, there’s probably a way out. This hack is really good. I appreciate that surviving the escape is reasonably tough, but not frustratingly so. It's like playing a remake of a classic that I enjoyed so much as a teenager. All new layout but still familiar. However there are multiple ways to advance or solve a problem. You won't regret it. Nicely done, Jiff. The focus on puzzles is stronger than most Super Metroid hacks.
